Prepping For A Week Of Trading

Preparing for trading takes many forms. This is a serious look at some steps you should take while getting ready for a week of binary options trading.

Get Ready To Trade Binary Options

There are many articles I could write under this title. They could range in topic from why you should trade binary to choosing the right broker, making your first deposit, verifying your account and many many more. The truth is, all of those things are right. They are important steps you must take in order to begin trading with confidence and success. That being said lets get down to the nitty gritty and assume you have already done these things and are now ready to actually trade. What are the steps you will take? How will you define your approach for the week and what are the catalysts you will target. To begin with you need to start fresh, it’s the beginning of the week so hopefully you have had a good weekend with lots of rest. If you had a really good (ie wild) weekend lets just hope you remembered to get to bed early enough on Sunday to be ready for the market on Monday. You have to think like a predator, getting ready, being ready, and then being patient while you wait for your prey, the trade, to walk before you. Then, when the time is right, you can pounce on it!

The First Step In Preparing To Trade

The first step to any trade, and one I make each day, regardless of whether it is the start of the week or not, is to check the news. You never know what may have happened during the night when you were asleep. The world turns constantly, there is always a market open somewhere and/or some business, country or person who could have affected it. I look at news on two levels. First, I take the news in general. What are the general conditions. Is the world happy, sad, growing, slowing, expecting, disappointed or afraid. These things all play into how the market reacts and what it may do later. After that I will drill down into more specific news. I cover oil, gold, the US indices and some currencies so I look for news in all four categories. Oil and gold news can be easily gotten through a news service, usually free, that will gather and summarize relevant stories. News affecting US indices includes economic data, the FOMC, earnings and expectations. Also easy to get on any of a number of news websites including CNBC and Bloomberg. Currency news is a little trickier because you have to consider news from two sources, one for each currency, and then balance the two against each other.

The Second Step In Preparing To Trade

The second step to any trade I make, and the number two step in getting ready for a week of trading, is to check the technicals. I generally have a pretty good idea of what the charts show but it is always good to go back and make a fresh start, and anyway, things you learn when checking the news could influence your analysis. I always start with the long term charts of weekly prices. These show price action for one week with one bar, and show the long term fundamental trends, supports and resistances. I mark these when needed and make judgments about longer term price action relative to them. I then move down to shorter term charts of daily prices. These charts give me clearer indication of what to expect in the current week. Think of the long term chart like the tide, and the short term chart like the wave. Sometimes these charts line up and I make a trade based on them alone but usually stick to taking signals for day trades on the hourly charts or below. Finally, I move down to the hourly or half hourly charts to look for possible trades, using the tide and the wave to guide me.

The Final Step In Preparing To Trade

The final step in my preparation is to look at the week ahead and identify possible catalysts or sources or resistance. These could be political events, economic data, central bank meetings and earnings. You can easily find this data on economic calendars, earnings calendars and the Traders Almanac. There are usually hundreds of events each week, sometimes thousands, but you can usually narrow things down to a handful or so. I try to pick the ones most likely to produce market movement and then mark them on my charts. This way I will know when price action is approaching an important juncture and can use them as part of my technical analysis.

The Final, Final Step

At this point preparation is complete. I have a grip on news, I have a fresh take on the technicals and have projected potential turning points onto my charts. The final final step is to assimilate all this together, with your strategy, and wait. Wait for the market to move, wait for events to happen, wait for signals and wait to make your trade. All this preparation is akin to a hunter stalking its prey. You get as ready as you can and then you wait, wait to pounce on some profits!

How to Meal Prep for the Week – with recipe ideas and tips on how to create a healthy and delicious 7 day meal plan for your family.

Hey everyone! It’s Shelby here back again! It’s a new year and like many others, getting organized is one of my biggest goals. When it comes to making delicious and healthy meals for you and your family, there are many days when time just gets away from you. Instead of eating something nutritious and tasty, you end up in the drive-thru line or throwing something together last minute.

I know how hard it can be to be prepared, that is why I am sharing one of my favorite secrets for a week of delectable meals that don’t leave you pulling your hair out to make them!

Meal prep has saved my life when it comes to approaching the week feeling organized and keeping us well-fed with healthy and savory meals!

TIPS ON GETTING STARTED ON MEAL PREP:

  • Plan out your meal plan for the week. The first thing I do for my food prep day is put together a weekly meal plan and grocery list. My meal plan includes all three meals. This way there is no confusion about the food I should be eating throughout the week.
  • Keep it simple by choosing just 2-3 recipes for each meal and portion them out for the rest of the week – this helps cut down on prepping time so you are not prepping all day long. Don’t go overboard with too many new recipes.
  • Once my meal plan is done, I start putting together a grocery list.
  • And if you can, try to grocery shop the day before your food prep day. Otherwise, shopping and food prep on the same day can make for a very long exhausting day.
  • Prepare – Depending on the meals, food prep usually takes me about 2-3 hours to complete. The key is planning your day ahead of time. This way you can get right into it without thinking about where to start.
  • I usually start with cooking chicken or roasts in the slow cooker or oven, that way, I can spend the rest of the time chopping vegetables while the meat is cooking.
  • Even the littlest bit of food prep makes a difference. Just portioning out ingredients that you might need throughout the week can still save a ton of time. Not all of the food for your meals throughout the week have to be cooked. Start off with just one meal if you feel overwhelmed with meal prep until you get the hang of it.

  • Pick your day and time that works for you. Whether you prefer to prep on Sunday or Monday is entirely up to you. Choose a time that you’ll be free and swap around as you need.

7 Day Meal Plan

Here is a seven day meal planning outline of recipes that you can meal prep.

It’s not necessary to cook everything from this list. Just choose a few recipes that you think you and your family would like for each meal and portion them out for the week ahead.

Breakfast – If you’re not a morning person, having breakfast ready when you wake up can make a tough morning much easier. There are a few no bake and no cook options that you can prep and store in the fridge or freezer.

Keep it simple by choosing 2 or 3 of your favorites and portion them out for the week.

These no bake bars are so simple to make and a great option for lunch boxes or even a pre or post-workout snack.

This oatmeal will not only keep the kiddos full all day, it is so easy to pop in instant pot and have ready for the morning!

Energy bites make a great breakfast or pre and post workout snack. You can choose your favorite flavor (s) and freeze the rest for an easy grab and go option.

If slow cooker or instant pot oatmeal isn’t an option, putting some overnight oats in the fridge before you head to bed is delicious and perfect for an on the run morning!

Nearing the end of the week, and on mornings when things get too out of hand to make anything crazy; having smoothies batch prepped can ensure you get something quick and healthy on your way out the door!

This refined-sugar free baked oatmeal takes just a few minutes to prep. Bake them into muffin liners so you have an easy breakfast option any morning of the week!

Lunch – Keep it simple by choosing just 2 or 3 of your favorites to make a batch of and portion for the week.

Lunch is one of the hardest things to keep healthy with if you don’t meal prep; you’ll find yourself aimlessly snacking or out for lunch spending money on something not as delicious as these meals!

A colorful way to kick off Meatless Monday.

For the pasta salad, you can use up any leftover pasta, vegetables and toss with some vinaigrette to make your choice of pasta salad depending on your mood.

Taco Tuesdays with a tropical twist! You can use up your choice of leftover protein, add some veggies and stuff them into some tortillas for a tasty lunch!

Zoodles are a great way to keep the carbs low. Paired with your choice of leftover protein, add some peanut sauce for a light and filling meal perfect for lunch!

A light and filling lunch packed with fresh vegetables and tossed in a fresh and flavorful honey lime vinaigrette.

Friday calls for a fiesta! Use up some leftover steak (or chicken) with some veggies for a colorful and flavorful lunch!

A cozy bowl of soup makes any day better.

Sunday: Take a break from meal prepping lunch and enjoy some leftover Minestrone soup or you can make this easy, light and refreshing Watermelon Strawberry and Basil Salad

Dinner – Keep it simple by choosing just 2 or 3 of your favorites to make a batch of and portion for the week.

How Ad Tech Is Bracing for Life After the Cookie

Following Google’s announcement that Chrome will no longer support third-party cookies

Google’s decision to become the latest browser to kill the cookie has industry trade groups scrambling to pick up the pieces.

The IAB Tech Lab, the research and development arm of the IAB, wants to lead a broad coalition of interests that can come to a consensus about how to continue online advertising. The trade organization, according to sources with knowledge but not allowed to speak publicly, is planning an announcement at this year’s IAB Annual Leadership Meeting—scheduled to take place Feb. 9-11—concerning how the industry will move ahead when it comes to targeting online ads after Google said it would stop supporting third-party ads in its market-leading Chrome browser.

Presently, few details are clear, although sources suggest Google is “cooperating” with the trade body, which has convened a working group to examine the means of trading media on the open marketplace without cookies. One proposal currently under consideration puts forward the idea of using a recently launched common data taxonomy and publishers’ first-party data, where a user registers an ID such as an email address, to help advertisers target audience types.

Advertisers can then find their desired audiences by bidding against a relevant audience ID that is created using this verified data, as opposed to a cookie, with the working theory that it can be applied across browsers.

According to Joe Root, CEO of Permutive, a company that helps publishers better manage their data, this way of online audience targeting poses less of a risk to internet users’ personal data, as the ID is less persistent than a cookie. “The cookie has been the currency of the internet, but now it is moving to publishers’ first-party data,” he added.

Google’s decision to pull support for cookies in its Chrome web browser apes that of Apple’s Safari web browser, which has been rolling out its intelligent tracking prevention software since 2020.

Andrew Casale, CEO of sell-side programmatic outfit Index Exchange, explained how publishers haven’t seen a recovery in their CPMs, and similar to Root, believes the focus of online media trading will be publishers’ first-party data as such a method of audience targeting will mean less personal information is traded between (comparatively) anonymous ad-tech players.

“What we’ll see is a call for solutions that involve user-controlled authentication,” Casale said. “We may also see attempts to make users sign in to a browser.”

All sources agreed that phasing out cookies will strengthen the hand of the industry’s walled gardens, as the nature of their data collection assures data compliance. Ana Milicevic, co-founder and principal of consultancy firm Sparrow Advisers, said there was a need for a common taxonomy among publishers, otherwise they will continue to lose ad spend to such walled gardens at an even faster rate.

“Walled gardens can provide the scale that marketers want with the data that they want,” she said. “If you’re a buyer, how do you evaluate the data of publisher A from publisher B?”

Matt Keiser, CEO of ad-tech company LiveIntent, added, “If publishers and advertisers are willing to work together with their first-party data in order to bridge it to the ecosystem, they’ll finally be able to mount a defense against the triopoly and control their own destinies [by not having to rely on their ad stacks for monetization].”

“It’s the first-party data provider who chooses whether to share who is sitting pretty,” he continued.

However, the next two years are likely to see a significant shock to the system, for even if the industry is successful in its attempt to forge a consensus on media trading, some worry that a significant proportion of independent ad-tech companies may run out of road.
